We see these roles as platforms for rapid career advancement, for people who aspire to Director-level roles in the future. As part of a small professional cohort, you will be able to gain wide-ranging exposure, significant experience and to engage in work that has a far-reaching impact in our communities. You will be able to work with autonomy, freedom and initiative. At the same time, there is impetus to make your ideas happen and investment in training to give you all the support you need.
Public Health in Berkshire is delivered via a networked hub and spoke model, with a shared Strategic Director of Public Health. The shared team provides strategic leadership, health protection support, commissioning and contracting services and health intelligence which compliments the work of the specialists and practitioners in the unitary authorities.
This means that we are looking for people with the leadership skills, courage and drive to adapt to a genuinely innovative model. These roles are not for people who want to stay in their comfort zone. Here, you will be able to work across the full spectrum of integrated services, building your reputation as a multi-faceted leader who can deliver sustained performance. We’re looking for a demonstrable appreciation of how to build productive, senior-level relationships in a complex organisation – a clear understanding of how to influence decision-makers, engage stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
Are you ready to build a different kind of public health network? Then Berkshire is the place.
